The story of Odisha is one that is different from most other states in India. Its natural beauty and glorified history is one that is looked upon with enormous respect. Beaches in Odisha are perhaps the best attractions of the state, with a coastline of 485 km along the Bay of Bengal; Odisha is home to some of the best beaches in India. From Balasore to Ganjam, these pristine and beautiful beaches have everything to offer to a visitor from a clean sea bed to turquoise blue waters to golden sparkling sand. These popular beach vacations are known for their long coastlines, and beachside revelries, attracting tourists from all across the country, especially from West Bengal. Some of these locations are also great for spotting migratory birds coming flying in from far away.
Arrive in Bhubaneshwar to a warm welcome from our tour representative who escorts you to your hotel and makes sure you are settled in. You have the day free to go off on your own and find out the charms of this city
Visit to Khandagiri and Udaigiri Caves. Then, proceed to Puri, en-route, you will visit Dhauli (Buddhist stupa/Peace Pagoda), Hirapur (64 Yoginis Temple), Pipli (a village known for Applique work) and Raghurajpur - the Artisan village that boasts of Pattachitra (miniature paintings), stone carvings, palm leaf engravings, tusser paintings, wooden toys, etc. Furthermore, get to Puri and check in to the hotel. In the evening free for the Beach & shopping. Overnight stay in the hotel at Puri
Visit Chandra Bhaga Beach, Konark Sun Temple, Pipili (the eplique village), Dhauli, Lingaraj temple, Udaygiri & Khandagiri. Evening free for shopping at Sea side where you can get some unique ornaments & showpieces made by Shell. Overnight stay will be at Puri.
Travel to Chilika. Chilika is a large water body comprising of a lagoon of brackish water spread over Ganjam, Khordha, and Puri districts. It is home to a variety of flora and hundreds of bird species. Go boating on the waters to explore Birds Island and Nalabana Island. It is the time to go on to Gopalpur, another fabulous beach resort where you book into your hotel and rest for the night.
Gopalpur is not just the beach but it is also famous for the Taratarini temple. We climb a small hillock to view this temple and then proceed to Patisonapur. In comparison to the more crowded beaches, Patisonapur is relatively quiet and gives time for a breather. Watch as the sun sets and then return to the Gopalpur hotel for the night.
Board the coach for the drive to Bhubaneshwar where you check into your room on arrival freshen up and get ready to take a trip to the temples. The group visits Raja Rani and Parsurameswar temples before proceeding to the Mukteswar temple, renowned for its architectural splendor. The walls bear intricately carved sculptures and the style of architecture is more Dravidian than North Indian. Bhubaneshwar is also famous for its Vaital Deul Temple, dedicated to Durga and Shakti. Like Mukteshwar, this temple too has fabulous carvings throughout its spread. The complex is large and it takes time to view each section but you will be impressed by the details here and the tantric origins. As evening falls you return to your hotel room.
Board a coach for the drive to Chandipur to visit the Khirachora Gopinath temple after which we check into the hotel. Refresh, put on appropriate beachwear, and head for the Chandipur beach. This beautiful beach is number two in terms of popularity and is unspoiled. From here you go on to Balaramgadi where the river meets the sea. As the sun sets you to return to your room for the overnight stay.
The morning is spent visiting the Panchalingeshwar Temple located on top of a small hillock. The view is simply marvelous from here and the sight of a spring flowing from the five lingams is one to awe the mind. You can have lunch by the side of the spring, relax and wander off before you board the coach for your return trip to Bhubaneshwar and the night’s stay.
After breakfast check out from hotel and drop at Airport / Railway station at Bhubaneswar. The tour ends here and you promise to return to explore the beauties of Orissa once again.
