Assam is considered the gateway to northeast India and just like Meghalaya, Assam is also bestowed with lots of scenic beauty and is known as the land of culture, heritage and history. The River Brahmaputra is the prime jewel of Assam and the Kamakhya Devi Temple is the prime spiritual spot.

Arrive Guwahati airport by flight. Meet upon arrival and drive to hotel for check-in. Evening visit Kamakhya temple - Situated atop the Nilachal Hills, the foremost shrine of Assam, Kamakhya is an ancient seat of Tantrik and Shakti cults of Hinduism - The temple offers grandstand views of the river Brahmaputra and its surroundings - The reigning deity here is Goddess Parvati (Sati). Temple Timings: Daily from 08:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs and then from 14:30 hrs to 17:30 hrs. Evening we will suggest an optional Golden Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River (direct payment basis- starts at 4.30 PM. Timings may change due to season) Return to hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel.
After breakfast drive to Shillong en-route we make a stop at the majestic Umiam Lake or locally known as Barapani, surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Indulge yourself in a speed boat ride available for tourist and run by the Meghalaya Tourism department. (On direct payment basis). Arrive Shillong and start the local sightseeing. The places of interest includes city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. Later visit St. Catholic Cathedral & the Don Bosco ethnological museum where one can have an idea about ethnological diversity of north-eastern states of India. On time, check-in at hotel. At evening on your own you can take a stroll in the Shillong happening place “Police Bazaar”. Overnight at Shillong hotel.
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee en-route visit to Elephant Falls & Mawkdok View Point. OPTIONAL: You can also opt for Zip lining at Mawkdok Bridge (on direct payment basis) In Sohra, we will visit the Arwah Caves, NohKaLikai Falls, Garden of Caves, Mawsmai Caves, Daithelen falls, Thangarang Park, Seven Sisters’ waterfalls (one of the longest in India), (There may be less volume of water in the waterfalls from Oct to Mar due to scanty rainfall). Back to Shillong for overnight stay.
After breakfast a day excursion to Mawlynnong-cleanest village in Asia, en-route visit balancing rock. Arrive Mawlynnong and visit Single decker living Root Bridge inside the jungle, later visit and enjoy the locally made watch tower, made up of bamboos. This watch tower gives you 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Later visit Dawki and enjoy water activities at “Umgot river” (on direct payment basis). Back to Shillong for overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park, famous for its one horn Rhinos. Arrive Kaziranga and transfer to your hotel. O/n hotel. Kaziranga National Park is spread over 850 sq kms across Golaghat, Nagaon and Sonitpur districts. Kaziranga National Park is also designated World Natural Heritage sites by UNESCO in 1985. Originally established as a reserve forest in 1908, Kaziranga was declared a sanctuary in 1916 to counter excessive poaching, especially of its most prized inhabitant, the rhinoceros. Evening visit tea plantation, Orchid Park Etc. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Early morning enjoy Elephant safari to visit western range (for Indians) of the park. Return back to your hotel for breakfast. Afternoon after lunch enjoy a thrilling Jeep Safari to visit central range of the park. Overnight stay at your hotel. After breakfast drive to Guwahati en-route visit Mahamrityunjai temple at Nagaon- this temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, is the World’s Largest Shivalinga at the height of 126 ft. Drive further to Guwahati and transfer to your hotel. Later visit the famous Peacock Island or known as Umananda Temple. You have to take the local Govt. Ferry ride for a new experience. (Last ferry at 4.00 PM) Overnight at Guwahati hotel.
After breakfast drive straight to Guwahati airport to take the onward flight for your way back home. To ensure you reach LGBI Guwahati airport comfortably on time for your flight we advise to start early. The city traffic is extremely chaotic and traffic jams a part of it
